Stars open the Belgian season in Lommel
The Arendonk club BeTeMo made its mark in the VLM, but now also seems to be doing the same in the BMB. Frans De Proost and his colleagues were already assigned the first race of the BMB motocross calendar. On February 14th, Lommel will once again become the Mecca of Belgian motocross. The fact that they want to go big at Betemo is evident from the line-up for the match at the Inters.
The eye-catcher at the Inters MX1 is of course Ken De Dycker. Keeno will ride his first Belgian race on the Monster Energy Yamaha in Lommel. However, the winner of the GP Limburg in 2009 can expect fierce opposition. Marc De Reuver, on his brand new Beursfoon-Suzuki, is one of the guys who could keep Keeno from winning. Steve Ramon also claims victory. After an absence of 6 months, Kevin Strijbos will also be back at the start of a Belgian competition. For two-time world champion Sven Breugelmans, the opening cross will be a farewell and a new beginning at the same time. Breugelmans will ride his last BMB competition in Lommel, but his first official competition in the colors of Betemo.
Ken Roczen at the start
At the Inters MX2, mxmag.be columnist Joël Roelants will have his hands full with Ken Roczen. The German superstar in the making is not often seen in these parts. An ideal opportunity for the motocross fan to marvel at a number of world top riders again after a long, hard winter. Moreover, thanks to the many transfers, it promises to be very busy in the paddock. Because who wouldn't want to get up close to the stars and their brand new motorcycles? Now just get the date (Valentine's Day) sold to the girlfriend or mother and you can experience a fantastic start to the new season! By the way, perhaps an entrance ticket for the Opening Cross is the ideal Valentine's Day gift.
