SX Dortmund: first day for Chisholm
More than 10.000 spectators in the Westfalenhalle watched Kyle Chisholm continue his Munich momentum. In the final, despite a poor start, Chisholm matched leading starter Jason Thomas and Heath Voss. Chisholm: “I had a tough time in the final, my start was certainly not optimal. Moreover, 18 laps are long and I had to fight for every meter.”
The three Americans at the front were a class too strong for the competition on Friday. Although the Frenchman Soubeyras had made an impression in the semi-finals with a great victory. However, the KTM two-stroke rider crashed early in the final. Florent Richier became the first European in 4th place, 21 seconds after the winner. Jurgen Wybo and Yentel Martens did not reach the final.
In the SX2, both series went to the British Adam Chatfield, Kjer Olsen and Ashley Greedy were on the podium. The surprising young German Dennis Ullrich put Chadfield under heavy pressure in the second series. The Honda rider ultimately had to give up with barely half a second.
