Three-day indoor spectacle in Zwolle!
Starting tonight, the Ijselhallen in Zwolle will become the mecca of Dutch off-road sports for three days. In addition to a supercross circuit, where the final of the ONK Supercross will be held on Sunday, there is also a Supermoto track in the Ijselhallen. Between the companies, spectators can also take a look at the various stands of the Motorcycle Event that takes place in an adjacent hall. Through a collaboration with Speed & Gein productions, the public also gets value for money with, among other things, trial, sidecar cross, FMX and kart cross demos. In addition, Kawasaki Benelux's brand new stunt team, Bleuk, will also give a number of demos.
The sporting highlight of these three days is without a doubt the final of the ONK Supercross. After the first match, last week in Goes, it is the German teenager Dennis Ulrich who leads the ONK standings. However, Ulrich will not start in Zwolle and that means that Mike Kras, Jeffrey Meurs and Maurice Kleijn are immediately the favorites for the ONK title.
In addition to these three young wolves, experienced Marco Stallmann and Frenchman Laurent Thiebault are the main outsiders. From the Belgian side, only East Flemish Arnaud Wauters will start in Zwolle.
Supermoto spectacle
In Zwolle, not only the motocross riders but also the Supermoto riders compete in one of the few Indoor Supermoto events in Europe. No absolute world top riders on the grid in the International class, but there are a few strong Brits such as Jamie Duncan and Chris Hodgson. In addition to the necessary Dutch top riders, a small but strong delegation of Belgian riders will also come to the Ijselhallen. Adrien Vandommele, the 2009 seasonal revelation in the Prestige class, is accompanied by Sébastien Soyeurt and Nicolas Stampaert.
