KTM winter team building!
The Red Bull-KTM factory team was already one of the largest in the MX paddock and the merger with the De Carli team provides more new faces. To keep all this on track, KTM thought it was the right time to strengthen the group spirit. And what could be better for the atmosphere than… suffering together! For the occasion, the team, including drivers and mechanics, went to an outdoor park in Bad-Reichenhall, Germany.
The menu for the orange men (and women) included temperatures below 0°C, obstacle courses with ropes and planks and, above all, a lot of work at heights. So not exactly fun. The intention was to promote cooperation and trust in each other. Claudio De Carli, Tony Cairoli's mentor, literally took the lead and set a good example. The team building day was a great success.
KTM's off-road director Pit Beirer: “You should cherish moments like these, they are very important, especially in times where you often don't get any further than endless emails! The expectations in our team for 2010 are very high and we can only realize our ambitions if we pull together. Of course we are demanding for our drivers, but they are not alone. Everyone must realize that every individual within the team gives their all.”
Although Stefan Everts is not afraid of anything and has the necessary experience in icy survival conditions thanks to 71° North (last year on RTL5 and 2BE) even had to swallow 'The Legend' a few times: “Many did not expect it, but just because of the height of I had to overcome my fear on the ropes course!” Check the photos for more winter fun!
