Hunter Lawrence just keeps winning
There's no one that can match Hunter Lawrence right now. The Honda rider has won the fifth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX East Coast. It is the fourth victory of the season, Nate Trasher finished second in Indianapolis ahead of teammate Jordon Smith. Lawrence increases his lead, Max Anstie follows 22 points from the Australian.
In the final over 15 minutes and a lap, Lawrence takes the best start, followed by Chris Blose and three Yamaha riders! Smith briefly holds third place but is quickly put under pressure by Trasher. Haiden Deegan rounds out the top five in the first round. After his crash last week, Trasher was keen on success but he needs some time to pass Blose. The 35-year-old Kawasaki rider drops back later in the race and takes sixth place. With a lead of about eight seconds, Lawrence wins the final ahead of Star Racing driver Trasher and Smith. Jeremy Martin had a poor start but he came back strongly to finish fourth ahead of Anstie.
For the next competition, the 'circus' travels to Detroit.
