Lars Greek Spoor on a roll in Oss
Lars Greekpoor (MX Team Greekpoor) rode to a nice top three in the second round during the ONK 500cc in Oss. In the first moto he had a bit of a hard start and eventually finished sixth. In the final standings, Lars finished fourth, just off the podium.
On the technical, hard circuit of Oss, Greek Spoor immediately established a good rhythm in training. The circuit suited him well and this resulted in a good fifth time. The start of the first moto was good and he came through the first corner in second place. “I had a hard time getting started in this moto, so I lost a number of places in the first lap and fell back to sixth place. I managed to recover and came back to fourth place. Unfortunately, I then started making mistakes again, eventually ending up sixth in the first heat," says Lars.
Eager for a better result, Lars started in the second heat. He again got a good start and was able to start the race in third place. “The pace at the front was high, but this had the advantage that we were able to create a gap on the rest of the field. Because the circuit was very difficult and treacherous, I did not take any major risks, but the lead turned out to be big enough to cross the finish line in third place."
Lars now shares third place in the ONK standings. The last match of the championship is scheduled for October 11 in Westerbork.
