NAfter a one-week summer break, the MCLB riders started the second half of the season with the annual trip to the Limburg Kempen. There, more specifically at the Oosterbergen in Tessenderlo, the second edition of the MX Crown was on the program.
Twenty-three Inters had made the trip to Tessenderlo. Unlike last year, the entire MCLB elite was present at Oosterbergen this time. In addition, there was a strong VLM delegation, including Glenn Bielen (who was one of the co-organizers of the MX Crown). Notably, former GP rider Jaimy Scevenels also stood behind the starting gate at Oosterbergen.
Despite the 'insider knowledge' of the local VLM riders, it was Jeffrey Dewulf who set the 23-man pack in motion at Oosterbergen. Behind him followed Jens Getteman, Yrre Saenen, Emilio Vannieuwenhuye, and Ryan Van Hove. Getteman wasted no time and took the lead from Dewulf in the third lap. Behind the leading MCLB trio, 'local' Yrre Saenen held onto third place until well past the halfway point, when the advancing Mattis Meersschout relegated him to fourth. Avo Tack fought his way from 10th place to fifth, and with that, the top 5 was established. Getteman would eventually win the race with a 10” lead over Dewulf, while Jordi Van Mieghem was the best 250cc rider in 10th place.

At the start of the second heat, the big guns were immediately clustered together. Jens Getteman led ahead of Dewulf and Mattis Meersschout, while Yrre Saenen and Glenn Bielen were in fourth and fifth place. The two riders from the Kempen region would swap places, but otherwise the standings proved to be set in stone. Getteman therefore won the second heat ahead of Dewulf as well, but this time held a lead of just under 5 seconds at the finish line. Jordi Van Mieghem was once again the best 250cc rider, this time in seventh place.
With two series victories, Jens Getteman naturally claimed the overall classification in the Inters 500. Jeffrey Dewulf and Mattis Meersschout joined him on the podium. In the Inters 250, Jordi Van Mieghem was joined by Brent Van De Walle and Xim Wynant.

MX Crown Superfinal

The best Inters, along with the best U23, Senior, National, and Junior riders, took to the track once more for the MX Crown Super Final. It was Levi Lupo from Limburg who took the holeshot on his Triumph; two laps later, he was relieved by fellow U23 rider Thibo Vleugels. After a furious chase, from the 25e In the first lap, Jens Getteman took the lead in lap 6. However, the East Flemish rider retired from the race shortly afterwards with a crash. Three laps from the end, Jeffrey Dewulf managed to seize the lead and never relinquished it. Avo Tack and Glenn Bielen completed the top 3. 'Good Old' David Segers (now active in the Seniors) finished fourth, ahead of Promising Rider Thibo Vleugels, who delivered a remarkable performance in the Super Final. The MX Crown therefore went to West Flanders with Jeffrey Dewulf.
