EOnce again, the vast difference between national and international motocross is evident. In the EMX, Harry Seel has to move heaven and earth to qualify or score points. But at AMPL, Seel steamrolled to victory on Sunday in both the MX1 and the Superfinal. Bryan Boulard was the fastest in the MX2.

Race one of the MX1 immediately put Seel, Boulard, and Tanguy Gabriel on the front line, followed by Florent Lambillon and Dietger Damiaens. There were two changes in that top five. Mike Roose overtook Damiaens on the final lap, and a lap earlier, Boulard had managed to knock Seel out of the lead. And win the race.

Boulard slightly misjudged his start in the final heat. This was the signal for Seel that he could go all out. He first shook off Paco Destercq and took full advantage of the duel between Lambillon and Boulard. It gave him some time. Boulard beat Florent and, just over halfway, also dropped Destercq. He was unable to get back on Seel's wheel. Destercq remained third ahead of Gabriel and Damiaens, who both crushed Lambillon.

Boulard would get his revenge in the MX2. In the first test, he crossed the finish line a good quarter of a minute ahead of Sam Jordant, with Remi Fraikin in third, ahead of Brian Engelen and Noa Denil. All three of whom crossed the line close together.

Boulard's lead in the final series approached half a minute. Mike Roose never saw his second place threatened by Fraikin, who had to pull out all the stops to stay ahead of Jordant and Denil.

As a side note, we mention that French champion April Franzoni reached the women's duel against Aùmandine Verstappen. Franzoni finished fourteenth, Verstappen eighteenth.

The Super Final started with a Destercq-Seel duel. Harry needed four laps to pass Paco. Meanwhile, Gabriel had been passed by Damiaens and Adrien Wagener. They finished third and fourth, ahead of Gabriel.
