DThe leader in the ADAC MX Masters class crashed in the first race in Tensfeld on Saturday. We saw Max crawl to the side himself and thought it wasn't too serious. Afterwards, there were fears of something much worse. The colleagues at MXVICE bring us further news on Max's condition:

Max Nagl has provided an update on the injury he sustained during a severe crash at the ADAC MX Masters event in Tensfeld. The German rider initially feared serious injury after doctors at the hospital suspected he had suffered two broken vertebrae.

Immediately after the crash, Nagl felt that something was wrong. After the initial examinations at the hospital, he was told that he might have broken two vertebrae – one in his neck and another in his upper back/chest area. Fortunately, subsequent examinations revealed a more positive diagnosis.

Max Nagl: "Thank you for all the messages and get-well wishes following my crash yesterday. Immediately after the fall, I felt that something serious was wrong. After the initial examinations at the hospital, I was told that I had two broken vertebrae, one in my neck and one in my upper back."

Today, the doctor performed further examinations and consultations. Fortunately, I was told that my neck is not broken. As a result, the neck brace could also be removed.

I am now going home for further examinations and treatments with my own doctors. Many thanks to my team and also to the doctors at the hospital in Neumünster.

Although initial reports pointed to a more serious injury, it remains unclear how long the former MXGP Grand Prix winner's recovery will take. Further examinations are expected to provide more clarity regarding the exact nature of his injury and a possible return to racing.
