NNineteen Inters had made the trip to Gemert for VMCF's annual North Brabant outing. Remarkably: at the Wolfsbosch Circuit, there were more 250cc than 500cc riders on the starting grid. And that is usually different at VMCF.
Junior Bal may have managed the holeshot, but he would not lead for long. After just one lap, Mattéo Puffet decided enough was enough, so it was 'business as usual' for the rider from Liège at the front. However, Puffet was unable to create a significant gap on the Waaslander. At the finish line, he had a 3-second lead over Bal. Théo Hamerel finished third. Guest rider Jordi Van Mieghem showcased his sand skills by finishing one of the 12.e to storm up from place to fourth. With that, Van Mieghem was also immediately the best quarter-liter driver.
Dailey Van de Ketterij took the holeshot in the second heat, ahead of Junior Bal, Téo Puffet, and Théo Hamerel. Van Mieghem even had to start his charge from 14th place this time, but he managed remarkably well, as the rider from the Kempen region had already reached 6th place after barely one lap. By then, Van de Ketterij had already made way for Bal at the front, while Puffet was his closest pursuer. Just past the halfway point, Puffet successfully launched an attack on Bal's lead. Behind them, Hamerel held off first Boot and then Van Mieghem, but the gap to the leading duo was immense (almost 55 seconds). At the front, the gap was all the smaller, and in the final stages, Bal came dangerously close to Puffet. But once again, the Yamaha rider would come out on top, although the difference at the finish line – namely 0.284 seconds – was very small.
The top 3 of the second heat also formed the final podium of the Inters 500, where winner Puffet was flanked by Bal and Hamerel. Van Mieghem finished fourth again, making him the best 250cc rider. He was joined on the 250cc podium by Alexandre Viltard and Uwe Dewaele.
