ALast Sunday, the women's class (MON) lined up at the start for the fourth time this season to compete for the championship. That resulted in a new winner in Lottum.
Amber Simons and Jenitty van der Beek are focusing on the first ADAC women's race this weekend and skipped the race in Lottum. This leaves opportunities for others to reach the podium. The battle for the day's victory was once again not exciting.
Maureen Zweers won both heats convincingly and took the day's victory. With a second and third place in the heats, it was Noor Platte who finished second in the day's standings. She finished ahead of Zoë Cobussen, who secured a fourth and second place in the heats. Tara Noordman and Maylinn-Rose Sterk completed the top five of the day.

First heat
The holeshot went to Platte, ahead of Zweers, Noordman, Cobussen, and Iza van Delft. Zweers immediately took the lead and pulled away from the rest. Halfway through the heat, she had a comfortable lead of nineteen seconds, which continued to grow. Consequently, Zweers won the heat with ease. Behind her, Noordman took second place on the third lap.
Platte and Cobussen remained a few seconds behind her for the entire heat. Three laps before the checkered flag dropped, Platte fought her way past Noordman again to finish second. Noordman finished third, and Cobussen followed close behind her. Far behind them, Sterk overtook van Delft halfway through the heat and took fifth place.
Second heat
Now it was Cobussen with the best start, ahead of Millie Welters, Platte, Zweers, and Sterk. Zweers began her charge and passed the second lap in second place. Platte also saw Sterk pass him and was now in fifth place. Zweers and Cobussen quickly pulled away from the rest. In the fourth lap, Zweers overtook Cobussen and quickly built up a substantial lead. Zweers won the heat again.
Cobussen followed in second place, thirty seconds behind. Platte fought her way back to third place and nearly closed the gap to Cobussen on the final lap. Just behind her sat Noordman, who had fought his way back from eighth place. Welters had to give up more and more ground from the halfway point of the race and ultimately saw the checkered flag in fifth place.
The next match of the women's class is on Sunday, April 19 in Overloon.
