NAnd just like in the EMX250, Spanish Kawasaki rider Francisco Garcia is performing exceptionally well in the French championship. In Saint Jean d' Angely, he won both MX2 races. In race one, he started second behind Tom Brunet, but ahead of teammate Jake Cannon. Cannon had to catch his breath for a moment and was overtaken by Mathys Boisrame and Alexis Fueri, among others. Garcia was never threatened; Cannon recovered and later took silver from Boisrame.
Garcia briefly held Fueri and Cannon in check in the final sequence. When Yannis Lopez also thought he should play a leading role, Garcia decided enough was enough. From the second pass on, he led ahead of Cannon and Brunet. The latter was eventually overtaken by Boisrame, Jules Pietre, and Saad Soulimani.
