DThe first race of the Dutch Masters of Motocross will be held on Easter Monday, April 6, in Heerde, and not in Oldebroek.

The organizing committee, the SCO, cannot yet begin preparations for April 6th at its home circuit, De Bargen in Oldebroek, because the municipality cannot issue a permit. This is because a protected species, the Slow Worm, has been found on the site, requiring further investigation in accordance with applicable nature laws. Despite the goodwill of the provincial and municipal authorities, in consultation with the Oldebroek Circuit Foundation, the permit simply cannot yet be legally issued.

However, the SCO is not going to let this stop them and has found an alternative in neighboring Heerde to organize the Dutch Masters of Motorcross races there on a one-off basis.
On April 6, world-class players such as Romain Febre and Jeffrey Herlings will show their skills in Heerde for the first competition of the Dutch Masters.

Incidentally, international motocross riders will indeed be coming to Circuit de Bargen this year. The planned Dutch National Sidecar Masters Championship has been moved from April 4th to Saturday, May 16th and will be organized at Circuit de Bargen by the SCO.
