JYou can never boast about anything in the Dakar Rally. That fact was once again highlighted today during the second part of the marathon stage between Wadi Ad Dawasir and Bisha. Adrien Van Beveren thus secured his first stage victory in the 2026 Dakar Rally. However, the day revolved mainly around Daniel Sanders's serious crash, which injured him and cost him the lead in the standings.

The tenth stage took them across a 368-kilometer special stage, over 100 kilometers of which consisted of dunes. It was a physical challenge in which navigation once again proved crucial.

Early in the stage, disaster struck for Daniel Sanders. The KTM rider crashed hard in the dunes after 138 kilometers, injuring his left shoulder. With the help of Ricky Brabec (HRC Honda), he managed to continue for a while, but ultimately lost significant time. The Australian lost 27 minutes to stage winner Van Beveren (HRC Honda), dropping him to fourth place overall.

Meanwhile, a thrilling battle unfolded at the front among the factory riders. Tosha Schareina, who had won the stage the day before, led the way, with Sanders following close behind. After Sanders's crash, Michael Docherty, Skyler Howes, and Brabec took the lead, with Adrien Van Beveren joining the group. Suddenly, an all-Honda quartet was riding through the sand at the front.

After an intense battle, all four riders crossed the finish line together in Bisha. Thanks to bonus times, Van Beveren was declared the stage winner, four minutes ahead of Luciano Benavides. Howes and Ross Branch finished third and fourth. With this result, Benavides also regained the lead in the general classification, although Branch can still get time back from the organizers for helping Sanders after his crash.

José Ignacio "Nacho" Cornejo rebounded impressively after a difficult ninth stage and finished fifth. In the Rally 2 class, Michael Docherty was once again fastest, finishing over nine minutes behind Van Beveren, leapfrogging Toni Mulec into sixth place. Schareina finished eighth, followed by Paolo Lucci in ninth, while Konrad Dabrowski rounded out the top ten, finishing fourth in the top ten for the Rally 2 class.

In the standings, Benavides now has a lead of just 41 seconds over Brabec. Schareina is in third place, just over fifteen minutes back, with Sanders shortly behind in fourth. It remains uncertain whether the Australian will start Thursday's eleventh stage, which runs from Bisha to Al-Henakiyah.

Our compatriot Jérôme Martiny finished an impressive 26th today and remains in third place in the standings without assistance. Tomorrow, stage 11 starts in Bisha with a ride of almost 800 km to Al Henakiyah.
