STark and Swiss adventure biker Jiri Zak have completed a high-altitude world record attempt on Los Ojos del Salado, the world's highest active volcano, riding the all-electric Stark VARG EX. The record now stands at 6.721 m.
To ensure data integrity, the team's GPS units were calibrated and certified on Thursday, November 27th. Zak made his attempt on Sunday, November 30th, completing the objective flawlessly. Final elevation data will be compiled from the certified GPS units. Witness statements and associated logbooks will be released after independent verification.

Ojos del Salado is the testing ground: the world's highest active volcano and one of the most challenging places on earth to chase altitude records. As altitude increases, the air becomes thinner, temperatures drop below freezing, and the difficulty increases. Everything works against both driver and machine. That's why the world's biggest names, including Porsche, Yamaha, and Jeep, have all been vying for altitude records here since the early 2000s. It's the pinnacle of high-altitude performance, where machines and the people behind them must either evolve or take a step back.
Operating at nearly 7.000 meters tests both rider and bike with thin air, sub-zero temperatures, volatile weather and unstable volcanic terrain.

Use Zak: "Two years ago, this was just a dream, to do it on an electric bike, where combustion loses its breath. Ojos is ruthless; one mistake can cost you your life. That's why I'm here with a team I trust and a motorcycle that continues to deliver power in the air."
Anton Wass, CEO and Founder, Stark Future: "This was never about a standalone issue. It's about proving that electric isn't a compromise; it takes you further than any other combustion bike. The VARG platform can operate at the edge of the atmosphere, giving riders the control to move safely and efficiently in truly hostile conditions. Next stop? The moon."
