DThe proverbial die has been cast, as World Sidecarcross Champion Koen Hermans has just announced that he will defend his title in 2026 with passenger Dion Rietman at his side!
Koen Hermans used the early winter to carefully consider whether his sidecarcross career would continue. A good passenger is, of course, essential for that! After Dion Rietman had to retire from Justin Keuben's sidecar, who, due to injury, had no choice but to hang up his helmet, discussions quickly began. Hermans was also certain that his passenger Van den Bogaart would retire after 2025, and top passenger Rietman suddenly became a welcome candidate for the sidecar, assuming Hermans himself continued, of course. The whole puzzle has finally fallen into place, and the Hermans-Rietman team will jointly defend the number one spot in world sidecarcross in 2026!
