Zoals we last month Kay Karssemakers (21) has already reported that he will remain with DRT Kawasaki. The former youth world champion will ride a full programme in the MX2 World Championship.
An extended stay with Steve Dixon's team is a crucial opportunity for Kay to prove himself in the World Cup with a competitive team and reliable equipment.
In addition to the MX2 GPs, the likeable Brabander will also participate in the Dutch Masters of Motocross.

Kay Karssemakers: Staying with the Dixon team means a lot to me, especially because of the confidence Steve showed in me last year. It feels good to stay with a team that's been in the paddock for the longest time, and I'm looking forward to a good season.
2025 wasn't easy after the Riley/Haaz Racing Team folded before the season even started. Fortunately, I had some good private sponsors, like Abrex Logistics, who helped me race a few races. Then Steve messaged me to ask if I wanted to race a round of the British Championship. That went well straight away – I finished second overall.
After that, he really did his best to keep me for the rest of the season, and especially the three overseas GPs, which was fantastic! My expectations for 2026 are to finish in the top eight and fight for the top five."
