DThis weekend the first round of the ADAC SX Cup will take place in Stuttgart. Due to the overlap with the opening round of the World Supercross Championship (WSX) on Saturday, some names are missing, but Stuttgart boasts a strong field of participants.

The Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Sturgart are on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November meeting place for the 41st edition of SX Stuttgart.

Veteran Cedric Soubeyras (Luke's Racing Honda) will start as the favorite for the 'King of Stuttgart' title – the winner of the SX1. The multiple French Supercross champion and two-time European champion already finished as runner-up in the ADAC SX Cup in Germany twice (2022/2023 and 2023/2024). Soub is definitely one of the main contenders again this year.

Strong French delegation

Although this year's clash with WSX means that some top French riders (Grégory Aranda, Maxime Desprey, and Jordi Tixier) are missing, the French delegation in Stuttgart is once again impressive. Among them Lucas Imbert (Sturm Racing Team, Honda), who won the SX2 in Stuttgart in 2022. Also from Adrien Escoffier (VisuAlz Production, Yamaha), Julien Lebeau (Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek, Triumph) en Anthony Bourdon (Motorrad Waldmann, Honda) is expected to be very active. Charles Lefrançois, Julien Lebeau, Brice Maylin, Boris Maillard, and Jason Clermont are also experienced riders.

Supercross icon Jake Weimer

Former SX Lites champion Jake Weimer is coming to Stuttgart for the first time. Weimer, among others, has more than earned his place with an MX of Nations title (Franciacorta, Italy in 2009), the "King of Paris" crown in 2012, and a string of AMA victories and podium finishes.

After years of injuries, Weimer made a comeback this season. He proved himself with a 3rd place finish in the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals that he can still do it. In Stuttgart he will compete on a Honda of the Backyard Design Racing Team.

Other American top performers

This year too the eternal duel will take place France vs. United States take center stage. In addition to Weimer, more American top performers will be traveling, such as Joshua Hill (Luke’s Racing, Yamaha), Mitchell Oldenburg (HFour Racing Team, Beta), Jeremy Hand (Luke's Racing, Honda) and Mitchell Harrison (Kawasaki Team Pfeil, Kawasaki).

Josh Hill from Oregon has been a fixture in the American Supercross series for years, with regular top-10 finishes. In the FIM WSX Series, the official Supercross World Championship, he finished in 2022 as fifth.

Mitchell Oldenburg from Texas, currently Beta factory rider, was the first rider ever to qualify for a 450 Main Event on a 250cc. He also ranks among the top 10 in the US, especially in the Lites class (250cc)His best season was 2022, in which he finished fourth in the East region and also 5th in the Supercross World Championship, in his favorite class. SX2.

It's a happy reunion for Hand and Harrison, as they made their German debut last winter. Hand finished the 2024/2025 ADAC SX Cup fifth overall, while Harrison impressed in Stuttgart with fourth and seventh-place finishes in the finals.

The Germans Max Spies, Paul Haberland, Nico Koch en Mark Scheu must get the home crowd on the benches. In addition, the Norwegian Cornelius Toendel, the fast Spaniard Another Valentine, the Austrian Marcel Stauffer, the Portuguese Hugo Basaula and the Czechs Jakub Teresak en Vaclav Kovar for extra international pigment!

Also in SX2 France against US

In SX2 is going Calvin Fonvieille (KTM Sarholz Racing Team, KTM) will start as defending champion. His biggest challenger seems to be compatriot Jules Piètre (Meyer Yamaha Racing powered by DirtScrub, Yamaha), to be the “Prince of Dortmund” 2025. In addition, Brandon Ray (Luke's Racing, Husqvarna, VS) one Mathys Boisramé (Sturm Racing Team, KTM, France) promising.

Wait and see what the Australians Jayce Cosford en Brad West can, but here too many Americans perform as Justin Rodbell, TJ Albright, Lane Shaw, Preston Wittkopp, Hamden Hudson en Oehlhof jumped in. Rodbell caused a sensation this season in Foxborough with an impressive P4 in the 250SX, can he repeat that stunt in Stuttgart?

Notable names in SX2 include the Spaniard David Braceras (ex JM Honda Racing), the Swiss Mike Gwerder, the Canadian Guillaume St-Cyr and the German home riders Carl Ostermann, Paul Bloy, Noah Ludwig, Max Werner en Marco Fleissig.
