IIn this second MXoN series, the MX2 riders are paired with the Open category. Sacha Coenen (MX2) and Liam Everts (Open) competed for our country. Everts opted for the 450cc machine. The series was won by Hunter Lawrence, ahead of Jo Shimoda (Japan), a surprising Jan Pancar, and a very solid Liam Everts. Team Australia now leads the standings.

The holeshot went to Hunter Lawrence, who was closely followed by Jan Pancar, Valentin Guillod, Brazilian Fabio Santos, and Liam Everts. Sacha Coenen had a bad start and passed him after a few corners in 30th place.eSantos quickly dropped to the front, while Japanese rider Jo Shimoda passed in fourth place. RJ Hampshire was now the best American, fifth after two laps. His partner Justin Cooper was in 11th place at that point.

Jan Pancar was able to maintain a good pace at the front, finishing about five seconds behind Hunter Lawrence. The second-place Australian, Kyle Webster, was on the radar, as he was in 20th place after ten minutes. The first Dutchman in this heat was Kay de Wolf in 10th. He chased Justin Cooper and was able to move up a spot on the fifth lap.

Jo Shimoda

Many Belgian eyes were focused on Sacha Coenen who, halfway through the race, was on the 28e had fallen off the track, and that wasn't what Team Belgium needed. Meanwhile, leader Hunter Lawrence had crashed but remained in the lead. At that very moment, RJ Hampshire had lost several positions due to a crash.

Liam Everts felt perfectly at ease on the 450 Husky and was now spotted in fourth place. French riders also compete for the coveted Chamberlain Trophy every year, and Maxime Renaux was the best rider in this series. He was comfortably within the top ten and was in sixth place with ten minutes remaining. In his recovery after his minor crash, Hampshire was able to overtake Everts. The Belgian was now back in fifth place, which was certainly not bad.

Liam Evert

In his eagerness to catch Jan Pancar, RJ Hampshire crashed again, losing his position to Liam Everts. A lap later, the American was able to regain his position at the expense of the Belgian. However, Hampshire had to drink his last drink and crashed a third time. Liam Everts thus fell back into fourth place.

After his brother Jett, Hunter Lawrence also won his heat. Jo Shimoda scored a big goal for Team Japan by finishing second, while Jan Pancar was the surprise of the heat in third. Liam Everts showed he could handle a big 450 and finished fourth. Sacha Coenen could only manage 21st, significantly reducing the Belgians' chances.

In the MXoN standings, Team Australia leads ahead of Team USA, Team France and the Belgians.

The decisive 3rd race (Open & MXGP) starts at 22h08.
