HThe Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team recorded solid results at the Chinese Grand Prix, with Rick Elzinga finishing ninth and Karlis Reisulis tenth.
Rick Elzinga – 9th MXGP of China (25 points), 13th in the World Championship standings (302 points): “It was a good weekend for me despite everything, especially since I was sick the whole week after Turkey. Fortunately, I felt much better towards the weekend. On Saturday, I wasn't feeling great, but on Sunday it went well. My starts weren't great, but I was able to make a lot of overtakes, especially in the second moto. I was even in contention for sixth place until I made a few mistakes and finished eighth. Thanks to the team, and especially the mechanics, because it was a very hot GP weekend.”
Karlis Reisulis – 10th MXGP of China (22 points), 12th in the World Championship standings (325 points): “Today was okay. My speed was good in both motos, but the heat got to me towards the end. In the second moto, I was able to maintain a more consistent pace and felt better at the end. Now on to Australia for the final round.”
