Romain Febvre: This was one of the toughest GPs of the year, and today was a good day for the championship; it feels like a win, and I don't mind missing out on the podium. I had a really good start in the first moto, but my first lap wasn't good and a few guys overtook me. I knew I had to catch them, but I took it very easy and didn't take too many risks, attacking hard and avoiding the heat. I knew Lucas was behind me, and that was the most important thing as I came back to fourth place. I had another good start in the second race, but Lucas came around us from the outside. However, he rolled in Turn 2, and I knew he had to come back through the pack, so I rode a consistent race. In my head, I was focused on the front and wanted to stay with them, but Ruben had a better line, and when he came through, I decided to focus on holding on to fourth place.
Paul's Jonass: It was tough with the heat, but there were a lot of positives this weekend with two good starts, and I also showed that the speed is there; I just have to stay on two wheels. I was running fourth in the first moto until I had a small crash, and I also had a good start in the second race, but I lost the front in the mud in turn four and had to come back from the back.
Antti Pyhönen (KRT team manager): It's been a long season with only a few points difference, so it's fantastic to pick up so many points this weekend. Romain has managed the races fantastically, with good starts, a fast pace, and handling the heat and humidity. He was so strong, but we have to stay focused, because it's never over until it's completely over. First, we have to get all the gear to Australia, and we have another hot and humid weekend ahead of us, so let's keep our focus until the end. It's brutal and difficult in this weather for the drivers, because you never know how everyone will handle the heat. And not just the drivers; every staff member has stayed focused throughout the long, hot days, and I'm so proud of them all.
Mathis Valin:  It was a really tough day; the weather was crazy, and it's the first time I've experienced anything like it. I had a really good start in the first moto, but Lata went on the inside of me in Turn Three, and I ended up in a soft spot. My riding and speed were good after that, but I was on my own the whole moto. I didn't have a good start in the second race, and in the last few laps I was exhausted after that first race and pushing hard through the first laps of the second race. But we'll definitely give it our all again in the final GP.
Bike It Kawasaki's Kay Karssemakers narrowly missed out on a top-ten finish in the first race. The young Dutchman made a great start from the middle of the gate, tacking on the outside of Turn 1 and emerging sixth on the first lap. He gradually lost places to factory drivers in the early stages before holding a solid twelfth place from lap six to the finish. He was forced to retire on the first lap of the second race.
