EA year before his contract ends, Christian Craig has announced his departure from Star Racing Yamaha. The 34-year-old rider won the 2022 250 SX West Coast Championship. 

Craig was originally hired as a 450 rider and mentor for the 250 class, specifically for Haiden Deegan with whom he has a close bond. However, Mike Craig's son is now choosing a different direction. The past year has been particularly difficult for the popular pilot from Florida due to injuries.

According to rumors from the US, it would be WSX World Championship Craig could potentially move to Australian Yarrive Konsky's Honda team, alongside Joey Savatgy.

Christian Craig:
I wanted to give everyone an update on my situation. I requested, and received, an early termination of my two-year contract with Star Racing Yamaha. We've shared many great moments together in blue, including a 250 SX title. Thank you for all the support, and I'll share more about my future soon.
