MAnfred Zienecker won the Dutch National Championships in Lierop with a double heat victory. Julian Veldman, who battled Zienecker fiercely from the first heat until the final lap, finished second, and Mike van Grinsven completed the podium in Lierop with a third-place finish!
In the first moto, Veldman had the best start ahead of Van Lith and Van Grinsven. After one lap, Julian Veldman took the lead ahead of Van Grinsven and Zienecker. Vlaeymans started the race in 1th place, and Maessen also had some work to do in 14th. After five laps, Veldman firmly held the lead, about six seconds ahead of Van Grinsven, who had Zienecker on his rear wheel. Van Lith then rode very well in 15th place, with Nouwen in 5th. However, on lap 6, Nouwen managed to overtake Van Lith and take 4th place. Roks was on the rear wheel of this pair in 5th place, and Verboven also got involved. On lap 6, Zienecker took over 4nd place from Van Grinsven and quickly closed the gap to Veldman, creating a thrilling final stage of the first moto! There were also some changes in the rear. Verboven quickly moved up to fourth place, leaving Nouwen, Roks, and van Lith behind. However, on lap 6, Verboven made a mistake and dropped out. This caused him to lose a few more places, but thankfully, he was able to resume quickly.
With one lap to go, Zienecker stays on Veldman's rear wheel and van Grinsven is now close behind.
Zienecker overtakes Veldman on the final lap by taking a nice turn around the outside of the second corner. Veldman immediately tries to retaliate on the exit of the next corner. Zienecker's and Veldman's quads collide, but miraculously, everything goes smoothly. Zienecker thus maintains the lead and takes the checkered flag first, ahead of Veldman and van Grinsven.
Roks finished in 4th place ahead of Vlaeymans who climbed to 5th place.
In the second moto, Zienecker rocketed out of the starting blocks, taking the holeshot ahead of Roks, Nouwen, and Veldman in fourth. After two laps, Zienecker immediately built up a substantial lead of around 2 seconds over Veldman, who had taken over second place. By lap 4, Zienecker had built up a gap of around 2 seconds over Veldman, who in turn had a lead of around 12 seconds over van Grinsven. Vlaeymans once again made a strong push and now held fourth place ahead of Roks. Maessen slowly passed him during this phase, and unfortunately, he retired from the race.
On lap 10, Vlaeymans battles with van Grinsven for third place. Veldman then experiences a moment of excitement, suddenly finding himself with both van Grinsven and Vlaeymans on his rear wheel with two laps remaining. Zienecker takes the victory with a landslide victory, ahead of Veldman, who just manages to hold off van Grinsven. Vlaeymans follows in fourth place, ahead of Ruttenberg, who takes a strong fifth place.
