Koen Hermans/Ben van den Bogaart won the spectacular Dutch Sidecarcross Championship in Lierop by a large margin.

In the first heat, Hermans had a tough time early on with Keuben, who had caught up. However, mid-race, the Leferink brothers caught up with Keuben. Leferink, caught up in a traffic jam in the first few corners after the start, came from a distance and, with a burning desire for victory, drove strongly to the front. Leferink then moved up to second place, but Hermans had taken the lead and was definitely on the move. Hermans thus won the heat, with Leferink second and Keuben in third. Wijers/Van Hal followed at a distance in fourth.

In the second heat, Hermans took the holeshot with Keuben in tow. Just behind him, Wijers's sidecar slammed into Leferink, causing him to go sideways and both sidecars to come to a halt. This allowed both Wijers and Leferink to begin a race to catch up. Spectators, supporters, and other spectators were on their feet as Wijers and Leferink put on a real show! They battled each other, overtaking one sidecar after another. Once they reached the front, the tension suddenly vanished as Leferink retired from the race with engine problems. Hermans and Keuben were at the front of the pack. Keuben kept Hermans in the firing line until halfway through the heat but had to succumb to Hermans's speed, who again won by a wide margin. After Keuben finished second, Wijers/Van Hal saw their catch-up race rewarded with third place. The strong Barink brothers were in fourth place, but on the very last lap they were disappointed to retire with a jammed chain. Two other brothers from the Achterhoek region, team Sussebeek, gratefully accepted Barink's unwanted gift and went on to finish fourth.
