Kawasaki is proud of the selection of its riders for the MXoN

DThe Kawasaki Racing Team members have a busy month ahead of them. Next week, they fly to Turkey for the 18th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. This is the first of three overseas races on three consecutive weekends. The season concludes in China and Australia. Riders Romain Febvre, Pauls Jonass, and Mathis Valin have also been selected for the MX of Nations.

The team and drivers face a unique challenge: three overseas races in a row. They race on September 7 in Afyonkarahisar (Turkey), on September 14 in Shanghai (China) and on September 21 in Darwin, Australia. During these three weeks, the team members are far from their base in Lommel. After a short stop in Europe, they fly on to the United States for the MX of Nations, which on October 5 takes place at the Ironman Raceway in Indiana.

team manager Antti Pyrhonen acknowledges the challenge. "Four races in a row outside Europe is certainly demanding," he says. "We sent the crates to Turkey. From there, they go directly to China, Australia, and then to the US. It's a huge logistical operation. We have to make sure we have all the tools and parts with us. It's four events, not two. But our team has a lot of experience and motivated mechanics. We'll handle this situation."

After the final round in Australia, Romain, Pauls and Jonass raced two weeks later in the MX of NationsAntti is proud of his rider selection. "It's very special that all three of our riders are representing France and Latvia," he says. "It shows that we've done a good job this season. Romain, with his experience, is the natural captain of Team France. And when we started with Mathis, we never imagined he would be the MX2 rider for France in his first GP season. Latvia has also confirmed that they will be taking Pauls to the US. I'm proud to be able to support them."

Mathis Valin makes his debut at the MXoN. Pauls jonass en Romain Febvre They already have a lot of experience. Pauls has already represented Latvia three times. Romain is riding for France for the sixth time. Mathis rides in the MX2 class, Romain in the MXGP, and Pauls in the Open class.

Romain Febvre"It's always great to be selected. I'm proud to be part of the team. We don't race in the US very often. It will be amazing to race the MXoN at Ironman, even though we have to adapt the bike to the track. We're going for the best result. In this one-day race, anything is possible. The Australian and US teams are racing at home, so they are the favorites. It will be tougher for us, but we'll do our best."

Pauls jonass"I'm really happy to represent Latvia. The MXoN is the biggest event of the year. This year we're racing in the US, and I've never done that for the Nations before, which makes it extra special. I think Latvia has a strong team with two fast, young riders. Hopefully, we can get a good result."

Mathis Valin"A double dream is coming true: racing in the MXoN and in the US. That's incredible! I have no extra pressure. I always get good results at big races where the pressure is high. I don't have Romain and Maxime's experience, but I know they'll give me a lot of advice. We know each other well, which is a big plus. We're a strong team."
