DThe legendary 12 Hours of La Chinelle will take place again this weekend in Philippeville, Hainaut. The crazy idea of a 12-hour endurance race—ridden by a team of three riders on a single engine—continues to capture the imagination. The 3th edition promises to be exciting!
Besides the "big" La Chinelle, which is held largely at night, there are also two races for older motorcycles on the program. Besides the classics, EVO class vintage motorcycles will also be competing. Finally, La Chinelle introduced the "Mini Lachinelle" for youth riders aged 8 and up, but younger than 15. Prestigeduel between KTM, Husqvarna and Sherco!
As always, La Chinelle brings an interesting mix of motocross and enduro riders. Reigning champion Dietger Damiaens (pictured above) will defend his title this weekend with the fast Wesley Dieudonné and former J2 enduro world champion Luc Fargier Fargier is leading the French E2 championship in his home country.
So you can count on KTM Sport Benelux being at least very close with so much talent.
Husqvarna Belgium also fields a top team. Kevin Fors (photo below) already achieved the final victory in 2022 and also Tanguy Gabriel (winner in 2021) and Jens Getteman are familiar with this special race.

However, the top favorites are the Sherco factory team led by Antoine Magain (Intro photo). Magain is stronger than ever, vying for the E3 world title and 6th in the EnduroGP scratch race. He also has a wealth of experience, having won in 2023 and 2019. Incidentally, he already won with the Frenchman in 2023. Julien Roussaly (currently 4th in the E3 World Championship) at his side. The unknown factor here is the cheerful Bradley CoxCox, however, has both the speed and the endurance to score well this weekend. In 2024, Cox also won the Rally 2 world title. The South African also has a number of MX and cross-country races under his belt.
As outsiders we also mention the trio Valentin Lacasse, Jerome Martiny and EMX250 rider Harry Seel on the KTM 350. An interesting combination of experience—Martiny has already achieved several podium finishes and won in 2022—and youth with Lacasse and Seel. Last but not least, we also mention the second Sherco team of importer Vukcevic. With Hugo Vukcevic, Brieuc Frasel and AMPL luminary Florent Lambillon this formation is certainly capable of taking a place of honor.
On Saturday night at midnight sharp, the drivers from St-Gart will start with a "Le Mans" race. On Sunday afternoon at noon, we'll find out who has won the 12th edition of La Chinelle!
