SSince 2020, the JM Racing team of former 500cc world champion Jacky Martens has been racing on Honda. However, this partnership will end at the end of this season. JM Honda Racing announced this in a press release.

From 2014 to 2019, JM Racing ran the successful Husqvarna factory team in MX2. Before that, the team dominated the MX3 World Championship, winning world titles for Sven Breugelmans and Yves Demaria, among others. In recent years, the Lommel-based team has competed in various categories with JM Honda Racing.

This season, the team has achieved strong results with Brent van Doninck in the MXGP, while Noel Zanocz is fighting for the EMX250 title. Spaniard David Braceras has already achieved several top-ten finishes in MX2. What the future holds for 2026 is still unclear.

Jackie Martens: "Our partnership with Honda ends after this season. We currently have several options, and discussions are ongoing with other manufacturers. Our ambition remains the same: we want to continue competing at the highest level in the Motocross World Championship."

Following a revised budget proposal and the subsequent departure of Tim Mathys' Standing Construct team last year, it's clear Honda is changing course. Japanese support for Josse Sallefranque's successful Motoblouz Honda Motul SR was also scaled back. However, Honda returned to the MX2 World Championship this year with a factory team, headed by Ferruccio Zanchi and Valerio Lata.
