RRecord GP winner Jeffrey Herlings (30) will compete in the MXGP of Flanders in Lommel this weekend. The Red Bull KTM rider decided this earlier today after a positive final dress rehearsal.

On June 29th, "The Bullit" broke his collarbone during training in Antwerp. Now the Dutch superstar is fit enough to compete in "his own Lommel."

Although Herlings has been eliminated from the World Championship race, he can certainly claim a role as a disruptor in the duel between Romain Febvre and Lucas Coenen. The notorious iron-eater is, after all, one of the best sand riders of all time.

In 2021, the driven Brabant native started in Lommel despite a fracture in his left shoulder blade he had suffered two weeks earlier. Against all expectations, Jeffrey won the first heat and finished second on the final podium behind rival Febvre. The competition has been warned!
