JWR Honda had to swallow a bitter pill earlier this week. MXGP rider Cornelius Toendel broke his lower leg in Loket and will miss the rest of the season. Fortunately, JWR Honda Racing can call on sand hare Lars Van Berkel this weekend!
Although Lars is currently competing in the Canadian Championship for Guaranteed Comfort Racing, he will be competing in Lommelwood this weekend.
The entire JWR Honda team is excited to have Lars on board, especially considering the short time it took to set everything up. However, if there's one person who's always up for a challenge, it's "El Rojo"! We've known for a while that Van Berkel can handle a bit of sand. He's often caused a stir in sand GPs, and at the Le Touquet Enduropale earlier this year, he finished an impressive 3rd. Best of luck, Berkelmans!
