DThe two-day JMS, VLM, and classic car competition in Retie attracted enormous interest from both spectators and drivers. This made Brent Aerden's long-awaited double victory all the sweeter!
Through targeted promotion in advance, MC Hanenberg managed to attract no fewer than 770 participants over the weekend.
Aerden led the peloton in the absence of Cedric Grobben. It was the perfect opportunity to finally take the lead. Brother Enzo finished second, followed by Kenny Janssens and Betemo riders Glenn Bielen and Nolan Cordens. Enzo Aerden was able to keep up with his brother's pace for a long time, but eventually Bielen and Cordens came on strong. Both relegated Kenny Janssens to fifth place. The Van Mieghem brothers also rode a home race: Arno finished fifth.

Yirre Saenen led the 250cc class for a long time, but crashed on the final lap and was forced to abandon. As a result, the victory surprisingly went to Jordi Van Mieghem, who had already made impressive overtaking moves earlier in the race. Junior Bal finished second in the 250cc class, followed by Kevin Schellens.
The B-riders saw a thrilling battle, but ultimately it was the towering Jamie Haanen who convincingly won, ahead of Chiel Vanhaeren and Raf Belmans. In the final standings, Brent Aerden took the win, with Cordens overtaking Bielen for second place, and Enzo Aerden narrowly beating Arno Van Mieghem.
Heat 2: Exciting until the end
In the second race, Glenn Bielen took the lead, with Cordens acting as a buffer between him and the Aerden brothers, followed by good old Kenny Janssens. The spectators got their money's worth, as Brent Aerden had to make a strong comeback to eventually take the lead. When Cordens dropped back to third, Brent did everything he could to close the gap on Bielen. He ultimately had to bow to the unassailable Brent Aerden, who thus took his second race victory in a row.

Enzo Aerden rode strongly for a long time, but later fell back. Maxime Lucas was the star of this race: he rode to fifth place, crashed briefly after contact with Arno Van Mieghem, and dropped back to eleventh. But with an impressive comeback, he still rocketed to fourth place, ahead of Jordi and Arno Van Mieghem. Jordi Van Mieghem took the victory in the 250cc class.
Among the B-riders it was Jamie Haanen again who took the victory, ahead of Vanhaeren and Tom Cuyvers.
