IIn a sweltering Millville, fans were treated to a true family clash in the 450MX class. Jett and Hunter Lawrence dominated the day, but not without some tension.

First moto: Hunter capitalises, Jett recovers

Jett Lawrence seemed poised for a classic holeshot victory, but crashed on the opening lap and dropped to ninth. His older brother Hunter immediately seized his opportunity, taking the lead and driving unchallenged to victory. Jett quickly fought back and still managed a strong second-place finish. Chase Sexton kept his cool and finished third, followed by RJ Hampshire and Justin Cooper.

Antonio Cairoli had a dramatic opening lap, finishing 23rd, while fellow European rider Jorge Prado finished 12th after a strong start. Swiss Valentin Guillod finished tenth.

Second moto: Jett restores order

In the second race, Jett Lawrence put things right with a dominant start-finish victory. Hunter Lawrence kept him in his sights, but never really got close. Chase Sexton rode solidly again and completed the podium. RJ Hampshire remained consistent in fourth place, while Jorge Prado showed fighting spirit and finished fifth. Guillod impressed with P6 after a strong start, while Cairoli recovered and finished an impressive tenth.

Jett secured the day's victory with a 2-1 score, though he shared the points with Hunter (1-2). Sexton also stayed close with two third-place finishes. In the standings, Jett's lead remains 51 points, ahead of his closest rival, his teammate and brother Hunter Lawrence.

European contribution to Millville: strong performance from Guillod

The European riders made a strong showing in Millville. Swiss rider Valentin Guillod was the most notable name from the old continent. With a tenth-place finish in the first moto and an impressive sixth in the second, he rode to a well-deserved eighth-place finish – his best performance of the season so far.

Spain's Jorge Prado continues to struggle. After finishing twelfth in the opening moto, the multiple world champion recovered somewhat in the second moto, finishing fifth, ultimately earning him ninth overall.

Antonio Cairoli, the Italian nine-time world champion, had a disastrous start to the day, finishing only 23rd in the first moto. But he showed his experience and took revenge with a strong tenth-place finish in the second moto, good for fifteenth overall.

Estonian Harri Kullas rode consistently, earning enough points for thirteenth place overall with a 13th and 14th-place finish. French riders Benoit Paturel and Romain Pape had a more difficult weekend. Paturel finished 16th in the first moto but retired in the second, finishing eighteenth overall. Pape finished 24th and 19th, good for 22nd place.

Norway's Cornelius Tøndel finished seventeenth in the first moto, but only managed 39th in the second. He still managed to secure 21st place in the final standings. Denmark's Matti Jorgensen finished nineteenth and twentieth, finishing twentieth overall. Britain's Brad Todd finished 36th and 31st, and remained without a point.
