IIn the first race Febvre had to settle for 3rd place but the Kawa factory rider was outstanding in race 2. For the fifth GP in a row Lucas Coenen noted a second place for (2-3). Glen Coldenhoff, winner of race 1, was allowed on the podium as 3rd.

In the first MXGP race of the weekend Jeffrey herlings started well, but eventually took over Lucas Coenen his 10th head start of the season. However, the Belgian top talent slid down in the second lap and Coldenhoff, who had started 2nd, was able to take over the lead.

Fernandez, Herlings and Cairoli also had a good start. Herlings was able to climb to P6 in the 3th lap at the expense of Fernandez. The Bullit seemed to be the fastest man in the race at that moment. Because first Coenen was dropped and then Herlings closed in on Coldenhoff to less than a second. With two laps to go, Jeffrey slipped away from the front!

Febre was able to move up to P3 and Coenen did everything he could to snatch the series victory from veteran Coldenhoff. The Fantic Factory Racing MXGP rider scored his first series victory since Riola Sardo in 2023. Herlings had to settle for 4th place while Vlaanderen and Bogers finished 6th and 8th respectively. Brent Van Doninck finished a neat 10th.

Unfortunately, Sunday brought no relief to Jago Geerts after a disastrous first day of competition yesterday. The former youth world champion went down hard in the 5th round and retired with a suspected broken toe.

World Championship leader Romain Febvre gave himself an important trump card thanks to the holeshot in the resumption. As exciting as the first manche was, the second proved to be much less exciting in terms of tension. Veteran Febvre kept control and led from start to finish.

A resounding 4th GP victory of the season for the 33-year-old Frenchman. Ruben Fernandez, who started 2nd, kept good contact with Febvre but could never attack. For Lucas Coenen too, the 2nd manche was one of few notable events. The duel of the race was without a doubt the fight for P4 between Jeffrey Herlings and Glenn Coldenhoff. Coldenhoff frequently showed his speed, came alongside but could not outwit Herlings in the end. At the finish, the difference between the two orange cross heroes was only a few tenths of a second!

For the 'wildcard' Ducati pilot Tony Cairoli, England was a successful intermezzo. The nine-time world champion became 7th in the final standings with apparent ease. Ducati teammate Jeremy Seewer had to make do with a mediocre P10 in Winchester.

In the World Championship standings Febvre now leads with a 32 point lead over Lucas Coenen, Glenn Coldenhoff remains in a respectable 3rd place.
