We have been following the development of the circuit in Lierneux closely, since we were allowed to report on a completely rained-out Junior World Championship there. Andre Mahieu has succeeded in getting his permit after years of fighting the administration. A circuit to train, but also a circuit to receive top competitions. We have often asked the operator when? And now it appears that this will be the case on 19 and 20 June. A cautious start with a Masters Of Motorcross under the flag of IMBA, the umbrella European organization of amateur associations.

IMBA used to be the training ground for many top players. Dave Thorpe for example via AMCA, Marnicq Bervoets and Joël Smets closer to home. But IMBA has waned a bit in recent years but this Masters can start the revival.

Save the date and here are some practical details:

IMBA Masters of Nations: 19-20 juli 2025
Location: Rue des Marcadenes 4990 Lierneux.
Admitted classes: 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, MX2 Youth, Women, MX2+MX Open, Veterans, Sidecar. Guaranteed starting opportunity for pilots who are members of IMBA: AMCA Great Britain, CAM Czech Republic, CSEN Italy, DMCU Denmark, MON Netherlands, SAM Switzerland, UFOLEP France, VMCF Belgium.
Participants from IMBA countries who do not have a license from one of the above mentioned IMBA associations; e.g. KNMV instead of MON license, must apply for permission to participate from the IMBA association in their country and in addition take out a day insurance with the organizing IMBA organizer!
Participants from non-IMBA countries, e.g. Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Spain, Poland, Sweden, etc., must, in addition to the registration fee, take out day insurance with the organizing IMBA organizer (on site after pre-registration)
The registration link will be sent later in a special letter (announcement) to the associations and will also be published here on the IMBA website www.imba-mx.com.
