Ruben Fernandez heads to the French Grand Prix this weekend with a clear goal: to continue his strong run of podium finishes. After two consecutive third-place finishes in Portugal and Spain – despite disastrous weather conditions – the Spanish Honda rider is hoping to shine again at the legendary Ernée circuit in the north of France.

“I now have the confidence to perform at the level I always dreamed of…”

After two gruelling mud weekends on the Iberian Peninsula, the one-week break came at just the right time. Time to clean, repair and dry everything, because there are already three GPs in a row on the programme: France, Germany and Latvia. Three completely different circuits, with which the MXGP season is now halfway through.

For Fernandez it is clear: he wants to be on the podium again and get closer to third place in the general classification. His riding style is becoming more refined, the consistency is there and his Honda CRF450R is running like clockwork. Everything seems to be pointing in the right direction for the man from Spain.

The Ernée circuit has been slightly modified since the last edition, but the atmosphere is still on another level. With thousands of fans lining the green hills and the sound echoing through the natural stadium, this GP is a fixture on the calendar. The tension is always in the air, and the drivers can’t wait to go full throttle there again.

Ruben Fernandez is in top form, bursting with motivation and has everything it takes to impress again and climb back on stage. And with such a passionate audience on the sidelines, it is guaranteed to be a spectacle not to be missed.

“The last two GPs went well for me,” Fernandez said. “I was on the podium in front of a crowd where I had a lot of supporters. It was great to have friends, family and fans in Portugal and Spain. That really gave me the confidence to perform as I always wanted. Now we go to France and I want to show that I can do this on any circuit, in any condition, and really take a step forward in the championship.”
