Ga transfer but an early agreement to continue with the same team. It creates peace of mind for Kevin Horgmo. In 2026 he will be there again, for the third season in a row!
While discussions and rumors circulate every weekend in the World Cup paddock, the Honda Motoblouz SR team is proud to officially announce the arrival of Kevin Horgmo for the 2026 season!
Kevin was eighth in the world championship and was the best rookie on his debut on the 450 last season. This winter he has taken another step forward. Since the start of the season he has already led his team to the top five of the MXGP several times. He is currently leading the FFM Elite MX1 championship and besides his results on the track he brings his calm and enthusiasm with him every day. One of the goals of the team was to continue with him in 2026. This was quickly realized and now Kevin can fully focus on this season, now that his future is secure.
Kevin Horgmo: “I am very happy to have signed another year with the team. They contacted me early this season and I want to show them my commitment by signing quickly. Now that it is done, I can focus on this season! I know what I have here, I am very happy to work with Josse, Yves, Maxime and the whole team. To show my commitment to them, I wanted to sign early; I am very happy with the work we are doing together and I think we can still improve. For me it is important to see my current and future progress, and I think with this team it is possible to perform even better; I think we, the team and I, are far from our full potential and I am very happy to stay for another year. I love living in the South of France, it makes life a bit easier and it is good mentally, we also have excellent conditions to train physically. The team has great support from Honda, every year we get more support and I am very grateful to be able to stay with them. We are still very early in the season and I want to finish the championships.” In style, before we start working hard next winter. Thanks to the team and our partners for this opportunity! »
Josse Sallefranque: “We are very happy to continue our partnership with Kevin! Since his move to MXGP he has continued to grow, we have had good results with him and with Yves we feel there is still room for improvement. Thanks to our partners we have quickly found solutions to keep him on our side, one of the team’s objectives has always been to build for the long term.”
Yves Demaria: “Super happy, extending Kevin’s contract was one of our priorities, we are so happy with him. He is a pleasant person to work with, who fully embraces the team mentality. He is also very professional, ambitious and develops along with the team. We have found solutions to keep him with us, he feels good within the team and everyone is very motivated to continue this beautiful story!”
