The final of the Dutch Masters of Motocross took place this weekend in Markelo, where the Van Venrooy KTM team entered the start with a lot of confidence. Cas Valk was the dominant force in the MX2 class throughout the season and went into the final undefeated.
Valk continued his strong form in Markelo, delivering another flawless performance to win both motos by a large margin. It was a perfect end to an excellent season, in which he took the MX2 title in convincing fashion — undefeated in the entire series.
This is the first national championship for Van Venrooy Racing since switching to KTM machinery, and the team hopes this is the start of many more successes to come.
This coming weekend the team will travel to France for the ninth round of the MX2 World Championship in Ernée, where they will prepare for a race on hard surfaces.
Cas Valk (1st in the daily classification): “It was the perfect day in Markelo to win the championship. I am super happy that I won all the heats in the championship – six out of six. The riding went well and the feeling on the track was great. On to the next Grand Prix!”
