Gabriel SS24 KTM is pleased to announce that Oriol Oliver will remain with the team and will complete the remainder of the 2025 season, including the MOTUL ACU British Championship.

The press release from SS24 KTM:

After a difficult start to the season, Oriol joined the team following Max Werner’s first injury at the British Championship round at Hawkstone Park. After working with us for four MX2 World Championship rounds, we saw Oriol’s potential on the MX2 machine and, with the support of KTM Austria, we were delighted to offer him the opportunity to complete the 2025 European racing season with us in the MX2 class and the remaining seven rounds of the MOTUL ACU British Championship.

This will not affect Max Werner's return when he is fit and can return to the EMX 250 championship in about six weeks.

Oriol: “I’m really happy to stay with GABRIEL SS24 KTM for the rest of the season. I started with them thinking: okay, I have a great opportunity here that comes at the right time. Just a week before I announced that I would not have a team anymore in 2025, so I was excited to give the team good results, which they deserve. Still, I think we need to show our full potential, but that will come. Continuing with the team gives me more peace of mind, so I’m looking forward to working hard with them and see what we can achieve! Big thanks to Shaun, Simon, KTM and the whole crew for this opportunity.”

Team Manager Shaun Simpson: “From the moment we met Oriol I could see that he was serious about his racing performance, not to mention his talent and speed on the bike. He’s a great guy to work with and he knows a lot about his bike and set-up, so it’s been great to work with him. Unfortunately we’ve had some ups and downs with the weather and results, but I can see Oriol finishing in the top 10 in the MX2 class for the rest of the season. It’s going to be exciting to take Oriol to the British Championship at Canada Heights this weekend and try to fight for the win. Then we’ll see if we can score enough points throughout the season to challenge for the title. It’s going to be a busy second half of the season with Oriol, Gyan and Max Werner on his return, but we’re up for the challenge and looking forward to some great results on track. A big thank you to KTM and all our sponsors for their continued support.”
