Jenairo Beerens also won the MX2 Youth race in Venlo last Saturday. On his home track, Beerens won both heats and strengthened his leading position in the championship.
Based on the second manche, second place went to Belgian Seppe De Rooze, who with a fourth and a second place in the manches just stayed ahead of Liam Peeters, who came second and fourth. Fourth place went to Randy Verheije and Lenn Enzerink completed the top five. The next competition in this class is on Sunday 11 May in Geldermalsen.
First heat
It is De Rooze who takes the head start. However, at the first passage of the finish line he is passed by Beerens and Verheije. Behind them follow Vigo Dral and Peeters. In the second round Peeters manages to pass Dral and thus takes fourth place. After five rounds Beerens has a lead of thirteen seconds on Verheije, De Rooze and Peeters. Dral is riding in no man's land in fifth place.
In the second part of the heat Beerens increases his lead and convincingly takes the heat victory. Verheije, De Rooze and Peeters stay close together. Peeters eventually manages to pass both De Rooze and Verheije and becomes second. Verheije ends in third, just ahead of De Rooze. Dral follows at a considerable distance in fifth.
Second heat
Beerens is now the best way, followed by De Rooze, Peeters, Verheije and Enzerink. In the fifth round Peeters gets into trouble and has to give up his third place to Verheije. Beerens builds up a lead of fifteen seconds on De Rooze, who in turn is seven seconds ahead of Verheije.
MONBehind them is a ten second gap to Peeters, with Enzerink well behind. The positions remain unchanged and the top five cross the finish line in this order.
