In a very muddy Mantova Andrea Adamo won the first race of the Internazionali d'Italia Motocross MX2. The KTM rider finished first and second on the Circuit Tazio Nuvolari, winning ahead of Valerio Lata (2-3). Behind the Italians Cas Valk finished a neat third, the first manche the Van Venrooij Racing rider did not get further than sixth place but later in the afternoon he took the victory! Sacha Coenen (3-6) finished fourth after a crash at the start of the second manche. Nicolas Vennekens (16-13) finished thirteenth in the daily classification.

Next week this championship continues on the renovated Montevarchi circuit.
