DThis weekend the fourth race was held for the famous sand championship in France. Again the Brit Todd Kellett was the best. He defeated Cyril Genot and Lars van Berkel today.

After a good start by Mathéo Miot, Todd Kellett quickly took control of the race and gradually extended his lead. Jérémy Hauquier showed his teeth at the start, as did Daymond Martens. Cyril Genot, still handicapped by his recently dislocated shoulder, was a little further back.

After an hour, the first pit stops clarified the positions: Kellett took the lead ahead of Mathéo Miot and Cyril Genot. But Cyril Genot gradually made up his deficit and moved up to second place. Behind him, Lars van Berkel started to make an effort and gradually worked his way up to the podium.

At the end of the race, Florian Miot, who had been in the top 5 for a long time, suffered a mechanical problem and had to retire. Yentel Martens, Jérémy Hauquier and Jérémy Knuiman took advantage of the situation and moved up one place in the top 10. Mathéo Miot was tired at the end of the race and fought hard to finish 4th.

But he was no match for the comeback of Lars van Berkel, who climbed to the 3rd step of the podium. In the last half hour Jeremy Knuiman made a fantastic comeback to finish 5th. At the front Todd Kellett maintained his lead over Cyril Genot to win and never get into trouble.

After Genot, Yentel Martens proved to be the best Belgian. The Limburger finished in 6th place, while two other Belgian riders made it into the top 10: Tias Callens, 8th, and Mattéo Puffet, 9th. Former French champion Camille Chapelière finished in a narrow second place.

Now comes the penultimate stage of the season, the Gurp TT in Grayan-et-L'Hôpital, on 11 and 12 January 2025.
