NAfter the first two events in Berck-sur-Mer and Loon-Plage, the 3AS Racing Sables championship heads to the beautiful landscape of Hossegor-Capbreton this weekend. The event, organised by Cédric Boizieau's Moto-Club des Plages, promises to be spectacular, with the third episode of the duel between Cyril Genot and Todd Kellett.

Our compatriot made his presence felt by winning in Loon-Plage a month ago. But the Englishman of Yamaha Dragon Tek, winner in Berck, looks with confidence to the upcoming races. He has just won the FIM Sand races World Cup for the second consecutive year. Milko Potisek, who has not yet recovered from his wrist injury, will again be the great absentee. We will see him back in 2025.

It is difficult to see who could regularly challenge the two strongest riders from the beginning of the season. On the other hand, there will be plenty who will fight for a podium place. Florian and Mathéo Miot of Yam Sand Racing will again be real contenders, as will Lars Van Berkel of the Honda SR team. Other contenders are Daymond Martens, who took a brilliant fifth place in Loon-Plage, and Alexis Collignon.

Jérémy Hauquier and Camille Chapelière, two-time winner in Hossegor, will have to do their best to achieve their ambitions, as will Yentel Martens, who has been disappointing since the start of the season. Last but not least, Mattéo Puffet is back on KTM after recovering from a shoulder injury. In the women's category, Amandine Vertsappen from Liège and her rival Camille Viaud, both on Yamaha, are once again the favourites. Start of the motorcycle race on Sunday at 11.00:XNUMX.

In the quad category, which starts on Saturday from 12.15:XNUMX, another compatriot, Randy Naveaux, will start again with the red plate, after his two victories in the first two races. The rider of the Mx Moulins Moto club has won ten times in a row in the sand. Antoine Cheurlin has shown that he can be a threat in Loon-Plage. We are waiting for confirmation this weekend. Keveen Rochereau, Jérémy Forester and Romain Colleate will also follow. Two big names will also be present this weekend who will come to (re)taste the sand of the Landes: legend Romain Couprie, who is taking part in the last CFS events, and the English Jamie Morgan, winner of the Weston Beach Race.

The Vintage category will be the first to start on Saturday at 8.45:23, with Nicolas Dercourt, Damien Prévot and Tom Pagès in the lead, and Jessie Grondin in the women's category. The race will be followed by the UXNUMXs, a category that has seen some excellent races since the start of the year, with battles between Mathis Matte and Dutch riders Kenzo Jaspers and Jenairo Beerens.

With two victories, Louna Nowak leads the women's category, where 9 riders will participate. In the junior category, which starts on Sunday morning before the motorcycles, we will once again watch the duel between the Dutch Damien Knuiman and Paolo Maschio, winner in Loon-Plage, who now rides a Honda. Sarah Leroy, Léa Lesoil and Ema Satabin are the favorites in the women's category.
