EA few months ago Husqvarna Motorycles changed its name to Husqvarna Mobility. Part of this strategy is a focus on electric motors. With the 'Pioneer' Husqvarna offers a 19,2kW strong, street-legal enduro bike.
Also on display at EICMA in Milan, the new Pioneer is primarily designed for off-road use and is powered by a 5,5 kWh Li-Ion battery that offers a WMTC range of up to 137 kilometers and a range of up to three hours.
Easy enough
Without a clutch or gearbox, the Pioneer offers beginners an easy introduction to motorcycling. Those with more experience can easily find more technical terrain. What makes riding even easier is the rear brake, which is operated by a lever on the left side of the ProTaper handlebar.
The adjustable WP suspension with 250mm of travel at the front and 240mm at the rear ensures that all riders can adjust the settings to their preference. The WP XACT forks are air-sprung and the Pioneer comes with a pump that is needed to regulate the pressure.
In addition, compression and rebound can be fine-tuned with the easy-to-reach clickers. The WP XPLOR PDS rear shock offers both high- and low-speed adjustment for compression and rebound damping and preload for maximum comfort and traction.
In addition to the aforementioned ProTaper handlebars, the Pioneer is equipped with Braktec brakes and Michelin enduro tires.
