Marvin van Luchene/Glenn Janssens won the second heat of the sidecar GP in Iffendic and also brought the overall victory in the Grand Prix to Belgium. The French brothers Prunier came second and Lielbardis, fourth in the second heat behind third man Hermans, came third overall.

The holeshot in the first heat was for Vandaele/Van der Putten with surprisingly the local heroes Hamard/Hupon in second, Vanluchene in third. Hamard would soon drop back in front and this cleared the way for Vanluchene to attack Vandaele. Vanlunchene was able to make the difference during an ascent and referred Vandaele to second place. Vandaele/Van der Putten crashed out of the race shortly afterwards, with the sidecar ending up in and half through the safety gates after a descent. Luchene had a big lead at the front, but the French Prunier brothers came back to second place and regained wings on their home soil. They drove to within two seconds, but in the last few laps Vanluchene was able to make just a little extra effort. This, and a bit of luck with catching stragglers, allowed Vanluchene to win the heat and the Grand Prix with a four-second lead over Prunier. Behind second man Prunier, Hermans came in third. Hermans was behind Lielbardis for a long time, but was right there when these two sidecars followed Prümmer. In a few nice movements, Hermans dived into space and quickly managed to outwit both Lielbardis and Prümmer and went from five to three. Lielbardis also managed to catch Prümmer and finished fourth with Prümmer in fifth place. Wikinson now left everything intact after the dramatic failure in the first heat and finished sixth ahead of Sanders/Vincent on seventh. Hamard finished eighth again. Van Werven/Van der Wiel rode a nice GP and finished well in the top ten again in ninth place. The Leferink brothers had to come from behind and still finished tenth.

In the World Cup standings, Vanluchene/Janssens have further expanded their lead over second man Lielbardis and Prunier has moved to three just ahead of Hermans/Van den Bogaart. There are three more Grand Prix to be held in 2024 and the next one will take place this weekend on the beautiful natural circuit of Strassbessenbach near Frankfurt in Germany.
