ALike a true folk hero, Kash van Hamond crosses the finish line in the second round in Heerde. In the first round, the Brabander finishes second behind Nico Verhoeven. The victory later in the afternoon is enough to grab the title! Verhoeven (1-4) is good for silver and the Estonian Theo Klots (3-3) completes the podium in Heerde. Of the Belgians, only Xen Temmermann (5-16) manages to score. The KNMV riders Scott van den Boomen (12-10) and Mike Pijnen (16-9) also show themselves well in front of their home crowd!

On Saturday Verhoeven is already the fastest and the sprint to the first corner is also won by the New Zealander. Timotei Cez follows for Klots. Van Hamond does not have a good start, but he manages to move forward very quickly from fifteenth place. The Future MX Team rider comes out of the first round in fourth place and takes over second place from Frenchman Cez shortly afterwards. Verhoeven, his grandfather was born in the Netherlands, already has a large lead and even though Van Hamond is a few laps faster, he can no longer close the gap. Verhoeven wins ahead of Van Hamond and Klots, who crosses the finish line in third place, 20 seconds behind Van Hamond. Daniel Cohen Jagielski did not have a good start and the Briton managed to come back to fourth place ahead of Temmermann. The Belgian rode a very strong race and managed to decide the duel with Cez in his favor in the final phase. Van den Boomen did not have a good start but he crossed the finish line in twelfth place, Pijnen scored five points in 16th place. Unfortunately, Tobe Vandeneynde (33rd), Brett Kastelijn (35th) and Jann Huisman did not score. Huisman seems to be well into the points, but a big crash takes him out of the race.

Verhoeven also takes the best start in the second moto, followed by Jagielski who brakes late and ends up in the outside corner. As a result, Klots comes out of the first corner in second place ahead of Cez, while Van Hamond is again not in the top ten. Just like in the first heat, the cross rider from Best quickly reached second place. At the start of the third lap, leader Verhoeven has an almost five-second lead over Van Hamond. However, the leader makes a mistake and that gives 11-year-old Van Hamond the lead. Verhoeven drops back to fourth place and a second slide later kills him. Leader Van Hamond feels Luca Nierychlo's hot breath on his neck. The German from the AK Bouw-Hutten Metaal Junior Team tries to increase the pressure, but Van Hamond is not surprised. The GasGas rider wins the second round and with it the world title. Nierychlo takes second place and is quick to congratulate his buddy. Klots again crosses the finish line in third place ahead of Verhoeven and the American Jaydin Smart. Pijnen crosses the finish line in ninth place ahead of Van den Boomen. Temmermann has a nice start but he hits another rider, causing him to turn right and have to start the race last. Temmermann still finishes 16th. Huisman (23rd), Kastelijn (27th) and Vandeneynde (33rd) unfortunately do not get into the points.
