EA week before the FIM Junior World Championship, the KNMV Open Dutch Championship 125cc was hosted at the circuit of Heerde. The race went well for the Belgians, as Douwe Van Mechgelen (3-1) managed to win the race ahead of fellow countryman Jarne Bervoets (2-3). The Latvian Jekabs Kubulins (1-5) completed the podium at the 'Circuit De Kamperweg'. Mike Visser had a difficult day, but the GasGas rider remains the leader in the intermediate standings. The championship continues on the circuit of Meijel on 8 September.
