STephan Weijers/Han van Hal surprisingly won the Dutch Sidecar Cross Championship in Varsseveld.
In the first heat there was a holeshot for Leferink, but in the second lap they briefly pulled over, allowing Weijers to take over first place and take the heat win. Van Werven/Van der Wiel finished second and the Leferink brothers still came in third. Hermans/Van den Bogaart were also in the leading group, but dropped out with a heavily smoking machine. In the second heat, Hermans put things in order. Starting from fourth place, Hermans rode dominantly to victory. Wijers finished second and took the overall win in Varsseveld. The Leferink brothers took third place and finished second overall. Lead starter Van Werven finished fourth and took a total of third place in Varsseveld.
