IIn the Grand Prix, things haven't really worked out for Thibault Benistant, but in Oldebroek he took the day's victory. During the second race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 250cc, the Frenchman won both heats ahead of Janis Reisulis (2-2) and Rick Elzinga (3-3). With one race to go, Cas Valk (4-4) only has a four-point lead over former champion Elzinga.

With the JM Honda, Maximillian Werner gets the best start ahead of Benistant, Elzinga, Janis Reisulis and Sander Agard-Michelsen. The German quickly loses the lead to Benistant who gets Reisulis with him. The first ten minutes the YZ250F goes around the track like a train. Elzinga misses the connection early in the race and rides a lonely race until Valk finds the connection in the final phase. The main players of the competition in Harfsen ensure a particularly exciting final. Valk (Gabriel-SS24) started the race outside the top ten, but the rider from Nijverdal is riding a great race. However, the battle for third place is decided in Elzinga's favor. Karlis Reisulis comes fifth ahead of his VRT colleague Ivano van Erp. Oriol Oliver (WZ Racing) takes seventh place ahead of Agard-Michelsen, who managed to win a nice battle with Kay Karssemakers (Team SM Action). The Fantic rider finishes ninth ahead of Bradley Mesters (Kosak-KTM).

Once again the Yamaha riders thunder shoulder to shoulder towards the first right-hand bend. Elzinga takes the lead, chased by Benistant and the brothers Janis and Karlis Reisulis. Oriol Oliver initially follows the YZ250F riders, but he quickly sees Valk pass and later Mesters also follows. At the front, Benistant manages to take over the lead from Elzinga, who gets the youngest Reisulis on his rear fender. After almost ten minutes of competition, Reisulis, who turned 16 last week, passes Elzinga. The Latvian then goes on the hunt for leader Benistant, but the Frenchman is not surprised and later puts things in order. Reisulis comes second and his brother Karlis seems to complete the podium. However, in the final phase he made a mistake, causing Elzinga to finish third again ahead of Valk and Oliver. The Spaniard made a mistake and dropped back to eighth place. However, he comes back strong and thanks to Karlis Reisulis' problems, the WZ rider manages to complete the top five. Van Erp is also sixth this round, now ahead of Mesters. Damien Knuiman (Twenty Suspension) is eighth ahead of Australian Ryan Alexandersson (WZ Racing) and Agard-Michelsen completes the top ten. A great performance by the 24-year-old Norwegian who crashed in the first corner and managed to fight back very well!
Next time:
The third and final race of this championship will be held in three weeks, which will take place at the Markelo circuit.
