GAutier Paulin didn't have a great day yesterday in Valkenswaard. He won the first heat, but in the second heat the Frenchman crashed hard in a duel with Bobryshev. Paulin himself went off hard and was then hit hard again by Shaun Simpson, who could no longer avoid him. Paulin went straight to the hospital and the verdict was harsh... He broke his right collarbone and his left thumb in the incident. That means that Paulin is next on the long list of injured. Further examinations will follow today to see if surgery is necessary.
