HThe CLS Kawasaki team is having an 'up & down' season. It had a great start to the season with a series win by Dylan Ferrandis. After that it was one of the teams that struggled the most with the heat in Thailand and now it is the team that has the leader of the WC in Arnaud Tonus!

But that doesn't mean that CLS Kawasaki is starting to rest on their laurels now. For example, it just announced that it will accommodate American talent Thomas Covington. This for the 2014 as well as the entire 2015 season! Alessandro Lupino will also compete in the MXGP class from the next grand prix in Italy. It appears that Covington will replace the struggling Lupino in the MX2 class and that the Italian will get a chance to prove himself on the heavier 450cc Kawasaki.

Tommy Searle, who was injured in Thailand, is expected to compete again from Valkenswaard or Spain.

Thomas Covington: 'I am so happy that I can ride a CLS Kawasaki, I know they have good engines because Arnaud Tonus and Dylan Ferrandis are first and third in the championship! I have been riding a Kawasaki since I was eight and I am extremely happy that this long-term relationship with Kawasaki and Monster Energy can be continued. It was like a dream to score a podium in that one series in Qatar, the other competitions were not that good but that did not affect my motivation. I would like to thank KRT Kawasaki for giving me the opportunity to contest the first three GPs, but now I am extremely impatient to contest my first Grand Prix for CLS Kawasaki in Italy!'
