Antonio Cairoli won the Brazilian Grand Prix with a great show of power. With two series victories, Cairoli was not much to be desired in the Brazilian Beto Carrero. Just like in Thailand, two compatriots were also on the podium. Clement Desalle and Jeremy Van Horebeek were allowed to join the podium as numbers two and three.
First series:
It was Gautier Paulin who managed to take the holeshot, but had to hand the lead to our compatriot Jeremy Van Horebeek at the end of the first lap. The “Jerre” was able to hold the lead for about five laps until crusher Antonio Cairoli arrived. For third place we got a duel between Bobryshev, Desalle and Nagl. In the end it was Clement Desalle who finished third ahead of Max Nagl. Bobryshev finished fifth ahead of Gautier Paulin, who had to come back from twelfth place after his slip in the opening lap. Our third compatriot in the top ten was Joel Roelants, who finished eighth. Kevin Strijbos, on the other hand, was somewhat disappointing and was only finished thirteenth. Antonio Cairoli won this opening race by a wide margin.

Second series:
Once again it was Gautier Paulin who took the holeshot ahead of Karo, Cairoli and Desalle. Clement Desalle immediately pushed on and settled into second place behind Paulin. With Paulin in the lead and Desalle with Cairoli close by, it looked like it would be a fun race. But Cairoli kept it a bit quiet in the beginning before he really started attacking Clement Desalle's position. Desalle was able to repel a number of attacks from Cairoli, but still had to surrender to Cairoli in the fifth round. The little Italian immediately went looking for leader Paulin and less than a lap later he took the lead from the Frenchman. Jeremy van Horebeek had also advanced to fourth place, with Nagl and Strijbos behind him. Van Horebeek still tried to close the gap on Desalle, but Desalle did not let it get that far. Cairoli just did his thing at the front and was also victorious in this second series ahead of Paulin, Desalle and Van Horebeek. Our other compatriots then… Kevin Strijbos now finished sixth and Joel Roelants fell just outside the top ten with eleventh place.
